In his paintings Arnaldo uses several techniques. For the Roman Catholic church
of the Holy Mother’s Ascension at ‘s-Gravenzande he designed seven stained glass windows,
shown below. Particular to the design are the perpendicular lines of the drawing, which makes
it possible to look at the window from both sides, during the day from the inside and
at night from the outside against the illuminated interior. The concentric lines enhance the feeling
of space and depth.
